Banana Flapjacks

These are more banana bars or banana cake slices but with the oats and being baked they sort of classify a flapjack. They are really delicious, filling and nutritious too.

MOST IMPORTANT NO REFINED SUGAR

Ingredients:

  1. 150g/2cups of oats

  2. 50g  coconut oil

  3. 3 bananas

  4. 125g chopped dates

  5. 1 tablespoon of maple syrup

  6. Melt the coconut oil in a pan over a low heat.

  7. Measure out and mix the oats and add to the saucepan to allow the oats to soak up the oil,  for at least five minutes. Set aside.

  8. Blend the bananas, dates and maple syrup.

  9. Add the banana mix to the saucepan and stir well.

  10. Spoon out the mixture into a baking stone or lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.

  11. Cut and eat warm.

  12. note these can be frozen as don’t keep past 3 days
