Christmas is coming! It’s hard to believe isn’t it, after the year that we’ve had? There may be a feeling of gloom over the country but that’s why Christmas is extra specially important this year!
Christmas is a time of celebration and family, eating and drinking and, although it may be different in 2020, we still want to create those festive experiences. In fact, we need it more than ever, and so I’ve put my thinking cap on and created the Alive with Flavour Box of Christmas Delights to help ‘get the party started’!
For the past few years, I have partnered with friend Gaynor Lawson for a seasonal wreath making evening accompanied by canapes and, of course, fizz. Beautiful venues such as Squerryes, Chiddingstone Castle and Hurst Farm B&B, Crockham Hill have been the settings for an evening of calm and creativity, of giggles and, perhaps a little, gossip away from the Christmas madness; a chance to connect with friends while making something Christmassy. The evenings are really popular and leave you feeling wonderfully festive!
The tables overflow with branches of fir, sparkly bits and festive ribbon and the lovely Gaynor of Enfleur Designs wanders round advising us all on how to design our wreaths. Delicious Christmas party canapes made by yours truly and fizz fuel our chatter and busy fingers. It’s such a festive evening and I love watching everyone leave, full of Christmas cheer, with their beautiful and unique wreaths, all ready to adorn their front doors.

The box caters for up to six people (perfect for these times) and includes everything you need for wreath making (including an online step-by-step guide for making your beautiful wreath). I’ve involved two other talented ladies as well – chef Jacqueline Wise and Ali Westcott of Ali’s Vintage Teas so that you have delectable canapes to indulge in too - all you need do is put the fizz on ice and assemble them!
